Mrs. Bruno: Principal at Donegal Intermediate School

Welcome to Donegal Intermediate School! I am Mrs. Bruno and it is a pleasure to be serving your family here at DIS as principal. Prior to joining the DIS administrative team, I served as the Assistant Principal with Eastern Lancaster County School District. My educational journey began at Millersville University, where I majored in both Elementary and Special Education. While teaching fourth grade, I obtained my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Scranton University. I transitioned from the classroom to an instructional coaching position prior to becoming an administrator. During that time, I completed the leadership program through Shippensburg University. My passion truly lies in the area of learning. Although I am your principal, I still consider myself an educator and learner, because it is my responsibility to instill lifelong learning in the teachers and students I come across. As education continues to evolve, I want to ensure DIS focuses on providing each student with the opportunity to not only acquire more skills, but to have fun in the learning process as well! It is our priority to make every student and family member feel safe, comfortable, and respected when entering our building. Much like our motto says, we are striving to meet every need of every student that encompasses our one amazing tribe! I am honored to serve as your principal, and I look forward to working in partnership with you and your family

Mrs. Gooding: Assistant Principal for 3rd and 4th Grade

I am extremely proud to serve the Donegal community as an Assistant Principal at Donegal Intermediate School. I believe that through building relationships, working as a team, and remaining student focused we are able to grow all learners. Prior to my arrival at Donegal School District in 2017, I taught Science at the middle level for 20 years. Additionally, I served as a Department Chair, Team Facilitator, and Student Assistance Program member.

Mr. Thrush: Assistant Principal for 5th and 6th Grade

It is a privilege to serve the Donegal School District Community! I love working with students and staff to help make DIS a place where students want to learn, and teachers want to teach. At DIS, we care about every child succeeding, and we put forth the goal of: Every Name, Every Need: One Tribe. Before I was a principal, I taught Health and Physical Education for over 10 years at West Shore School District. After leaving West Shore, I was a Dean of Students and Intervention Specialist in the Dover Area School District. Joining Donegal as Assistant Principal has given me the opportunity to lead a culture of collaboration, innovation, and empathy for all students, staff, and community members. Students and families at DIS can always expect to be treated with respect and kindness, and know that as an administration team,we care deeply about each and every student's success.
